According to the National Cancer Institute, there are 10.1 million cancer survivors. This represents approximately 3.4 % of the population. A cancer survivor is defined as anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer—from initial diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Cancer survivors may have physical, emotional, and financial concerns even after treatment has ended. We have provided information and resources to help cancer survivors resolve some of these issues. National Cancer Survivors Day serves as an important celebration of life - for the newly diagnosed patient as well as the long term survivor.
