The Cairns lab offers a multi-disciplinary training environment
that includes biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology
and genomics.
The
lab is comprised of scientists in several different stages
in their career training: (Currently) research faculty
(1); postdoctoral fellows (2), graduate students (7), lab
manager/technicians (2), undergraduates (1). The laboratory
is exceptionally well equipped and is housed in the state-of-the-art
Huntsman Cancer Institute. HCI and the U of Utah community
includes a large number of labs interested in transcription
and chromatin regulation. We are looking for focused, highly
motivated people with a keen interest in chromatin biology
- an appreciation for either mountain biking, hiking or
skiing is also highly encouraged!
