Huntsman Cancer Hospital offers comprehensive, state-of-the-art radiation oncology treatment using high-energy X-rays to target cancerous tumors while protecting surrounding healthy tissue. In four radiation therapy rooms, different equipment is used to target specific types of cancer.

Radiation therapy nurses work independently and in collaboration with physicians to provide patient care. These nurses perform patient assessments, offer patient and family education about procedures and their side effects, and provide symptom management throughout treatment. They also work in conjunction with other radiation therapy team members to establish treatment plans.
