The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital is comprised of 10 stations designed for the care of patients following their surgery. A variety of surgical specialties are performed on a daily basis in the operating room and then recovered in PACU. We see patients from General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic/reconstructive, Orthopedics, Gynecological oncology, Urological, Otolaryngology and Endoscopy.
 
The PACU team is comprised of RNs and Health Care Assistants. Prior experience in a PACU, ICU or ER is preferred. ACLS and PALS certifications are required or completed within 3 months after hire.
