The focus of our lab is centered on modeling human diseases of the immune system in zebrafish. To accomplish this task we employ a variety of tools, including genetic screens using transgenic lines of zebrafish. Our lab is located on the fourth floor of Huntsman Cancer Institute, and we are also part of the HCI Center for Children, the Department of Oncological Sciences, the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Molecular Biology, and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Utah. Our fish are housed in a state-of-the-art zebrafish facility run by a PhD scientist and several assistants.
