Volunteers are an integral part of the Huntsman Cancer Institute team. These caring and committed individuals perform a variety of functions including assisting patients and their families, helping visitors in the Cancer Learning Center, and assisting with fundraising and special events. Most volunteer placements are Monday through Friday during daytime hours with limited placements available in the evenings and on weekends for special events.
Volunteer Tracking System
In addition to personal satisfaction from helping others, Huntsman Cancer Institute extends the following benefits to volunteers.

- Lunch voucher for each four hour shift worked
- Free annual tuberculosis screening
