Recovery

Your transplant ends when your bone marrow recovers from the chemotherapy. If you are being treated as an inpatient, you will be discharged from the hospital when you are well enough. Your recovery will continue at home.

While recovering, your biggest risk is infection. You will receive instruction and education on ways to prevent becoming infected.

You will meet with your physician and advanced practice provider in the outpatient clinic until you have completely recovered physically from your treatment.
