Breast Cancer Research
Principal Investigator: Saundra S. Buys, MD
The High Risk Breast Cancer Clinic provides data and blood samples to researchers who are interested in investigating the genetic causes of breast cancer. The clinic is one of six National Cancer Institute-funded breast cancer registries that make up the Breast Cancer Family Registry.
The High Risk Breast Cancer Clinic has enrolled more than 1,500 individuals from 256 families. The clinic is no longer recruiting new families and now focuses on developing new research studies using data and blood samples from individuals who have already enrolled.
