Lisa Hazard, MD, is a radiation oncologist at Huntsman Cancer Institute and an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include radiation therapy of gastrointestinal cancers, melanoma, and central nervous system tumors; she is also interested in clinical research and clinical trials in these areas. Hazard is active in the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), a multi-institutional cooperative organization that directs and oversees studies of radiation therapy alone or in conjunction with surgery and/or chemotherapy.
Hazard received her MD with commendation from the dean for academic excellence from State University of New York at
Buffalo and completed her residency in radiation oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
