Associate Professor of Medical Oncology

Anna Beck, MD, is medical director of Supportive Oncology and Survivorship and an investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). She is also an associate professor of medical oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Beck's areas of interest are end-of-life care and geriatric oncology. As medical director of Supportive Oncology and Survivorship, her goal is to broaden the spectrum of support available for cancer patients, and help them cope and confront their diagnosis. She uses complementary and integrative medicine for patients and their caregivers, during and after treatment.

Beck is the hospice medical director at Community Nursing Services Home Health and Hospice, which received "Best in Utah" awards for three consecutive years. She is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hospice and palliative care. Beck completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a combined fellowship in hematology/medical oncology and geriatric internal medicine, at the University of Utah. She received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
