Jeannine Z.P. Engel, MD

Assistant Professor, Division of Oncology

Jeannine Z.P. Engel, MD is an assistant professor in the Division of Oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) investigator. She cares for patients in HCI’s Acute Care Clinic (ACC).

Engel was recruited from Vanderbilt University and Hospital, where she completed her internal medicine residency and later held the position of assistant professor of medicine and director of the Acute Medicine Practice.

Engel has extensive experience teaching physicians about documentation and coding. She works in the University Healthcare Compliance Office, in addition to her responsibilities with the ACC.

Engel received her bachelor’s degree from Washington University, St. Louis. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego.
