Assistant Professor, College of Social Work

Jaehee Yi, PhD, is an assistant professor in the College of Social Work at the University of Utah and an investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). She is a member of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences program.

Yi's research focus is cancer survivorship and the impact of cancer on individuals and families. She examines how social aspects such as stigma, social networks, and survivor identities affect this group. Her goal is to enhance survivors' quality of life. For future research, she plans to continue studying young adult cancer survivorship and expand her research internationally. Currently, Yi is conducting a study on cancer survivorship in South Korea.

Yi earned the title Dean's Scholar at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she received a PhD in social work. She received a masters degree in social work from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
