B. Kathleen Mooney, PhD

Professor, College of Nursing

Kathleen Mooney, PhD, RN, FAAN, is a professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Utah and a member of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program.

Mooney researches the behavioral aspects of oncology and cancer communication. She has a particular interest in risk reduction, chemoprevention adherence, adaptation to cancer, treatment decision making, symptom management, palliative care, and clinical outcomes.

Mooney earned a bachelor's degree from the University of San Francisco and a PhD from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
