Robin D. Kim, MD, is surgical director of the University of Utah Liver Transplant Program and an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the School of Medicine. He is also a member of Huntsman Cancer Institute's Gastrointestinal Cancer Program.

Kim specializes in hepatobiliary surgery, liver transplantation, and laparoscopic liver resection. His clinical and research focus is in the surgical management of diseases of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas. He has widely contributed to publications and lectures in these areas.

Kim received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, which included a two-year research fellowship in liver regeneration and cancer. Following his residency, Kim completed his fellowship at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children, focusing on adult and pediatric multi-organ transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.
