Gerald Spangrude, PhD, is a Huntsman Cancer Institute investigator and professor of pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is a member of the Cell Response and Regulation Program.
Spangrude studies stem cell biology. He is interested in how blood development can go awry and lead to certain types of cancer and how to optimize the success of bone marrow transplants.
Spangrude received a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, Missoula, and a PhD from the University of Utah.
