Brian Wang, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Utah and a medical physicist at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).
Wang specializes in physics of intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He is a board certified member of the American Board of Radiology (Therapeutic Radiologic Physics).
Wang received a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering/health physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. He has served as a guest associate editor for Medical Physics Journal and is also a manuscript reviewer for three other peer-reviewed journals. He is an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), American College of Medical Physics (ACMP), and American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). Wang is also a committee member on three national scientific committees and task groups.
Before joining HCI, Wang was an assistant professor at the University Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and a medical physicist at Cooper University Hospital, New Jersey.
