In the Bhaskara Lab, we work to understand how chromatin-modifying enzymes, specifically histone deacetylases (Hdacs), control genome stability. The research aims to enhance fundamental understanding of the mode-of-action of Hdacs, which are targets of drugs used in cancer therapy. This knowledge will aid in the design of better targeted drugs for cancer treatment.
