The Cairns lab offers a multidisciplinary training environment that includes biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and genomics.
The lab is composed of scientists in several different stages in their career training: (Currently) research faculty (1); postdoctoral fellows (2), graduate students (7), lab manager/technicians (2), undergraduates (1). The laboratory is exceptionally well equipped and is housed in the state-of-the-art Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). HCI and the University of Utah community include a large number of labs interested in transcription and chromatin regulation. We are looking for focused, highly motivated people with a keen interest in chromatin biology. An appreciation for mountain biking, hiking, or skiing is also highly encouraged!
